Abdominal - Vicious Battle Raps

This track is taken from DJ Format's "Music for the Mature B-Boy", released in 2003. Abdominal is quite an incredible MC, his lung capacity is enormous. Paired up with DJ Format they've made some funky songs like this one. It's a whole different take on the braggadocio-raps currently seen a lot in hip-hop.

Check it.

Typical Cats - Cliche

A track that's not from an upcoming or relatively new project this time. This is taken from Typical Cats' self-titled album. Qwel, on third of this group (along with Qwazaar and Denizen Kane), seriously rocks it on this punchline-driven track. Check it out, some serious quotables are to be taken from this song.

Micah James - Lightskinned

Micah James is something different. In a good way. In a pretty awesome way, actually. Creative, lyrically on point and and a goofy sense of humor. Check it out for yourself.
If you like it, be sure to download his free mixtape Agoraphobia. It's more than worth it, better than the majority of the albums they make you pay for.

Sene - WonLover (prod. Blu)

The first clip from Sene's debut album ADayLate&ADollarShort, entirely produced by Blu. I checked it out mostly because of Blu being attached to this project. Turns out Sene is a pretty dope cat too, and the production is tight. I personally don't think this is the best track on the album, but it's still dope.

U-N-I ft. Fashawn - Pulp Fiction pt.1

Seriously dope track by these two cats out of L.A. I haven't heard too much about U-N-I yet, if this track is any indication of their other material, they're worth watching out for. This track is featuring Fashawn. If you like it; you can download it for free (and legally) here.

First post: Ghettosocks - Don't Turn Around

The first clip of 'ahiphopvidaday'. What an honour. The basic plan of this blog is to let y'all folks find out about some artists (mostly underground hip-hop), that are way too unknown and way too good to be unknown. So basically I'm just trying to spread the word, and hopefully help some of you to discover some great music. Enjoy.

First up; Ghettosocks ft. Edgar Allen Floe with Don't Turn Around. From G'socks' upcoming album 'Treat of the Day'.
